Apr 2020- Jun 2025
A few years ago, Ms. Helen from the British Museum introduced me to Director Zhao Feng of China National Silk Museum, which began my long-lasting connection with the "Silk Road." Director Zhao, with his extensive research on the Silk Road, organized the first "Silk Road Week" in 2020 and invited me to create illustrations for the event.

Coincidentally, my name "Qi"(绮) has the meaning of "brocade" in it, which felt like a perfect connection. This bond has continued to this day. Each year's theme of the Silk Road Week is different, and I express it with various techniques and imagery, trying to piece together the fragments of history into illustrations.
Five years have passed, and I continue to create illustrations of animals, people, relics, and patterns, inviting more people to explore the rich history of the Silk Road.
Medium: pencil, watercolor, acylic gouache, Photoshop
